Hello all, we are going through some tough times still. Accreditation is hitting us hard but we are making it it seems. We finished the documentation review process of Accreditation and are just waiting for our survey from HQAA, unfortunately HQAA can not confirm if we are going to be surveyed before the deadline.
On a another note Medicare has decided to stop covering regular orthosis, such as ankle braces, air casts, back supports, and other braces that they consider do not help to treat a disease or injury, in their logic these items from FLA Orthopedics and Advance Orthopedics only help alleviate pain but not treat it so they are no longer covering these items unless it's one of the higher end, stuck in a position brace that most patients do not want to be seen wearing. NJ Medicaid is still taking money out of every payment they send us for something the previous owner supposedly did and there is nothing we can do about it, hmmm, now I see why alot of businesses complain about NJ. Then to Top the cake as per NJ we owe alot of back taxes too.
Any ideas out there? Well, pray for us! We want to help the patients as much as we can but the State makes it harder and harder.
